RESULTS OF CLINICAL TESTS IN CHINAThis chapter will discuss the clinical tests on Tian Xian Liquid conducted in China, as well as their results and significance of the findings. These tests cover 807 patients suffering from carcinoma of the stomach and esophagus in 16 centers from 1984 to 1988. Tian Xian Liquid and Pills were administered to several groups of patients. A total of 349 patients were in the final stages of stomach and esophageal carcinoma. For these patients, no chance of recovery through treatment with radio or chemotherapy was expected. They were treated exclusively with Tian Xian Pills. A second group, which received a combination of radiotherapy and Tian Xian Pills, consisted of 180 patients. A third group consisted of 34 patients who had had no surgical or irradiation therapy, and who received a combination of Tian Xian Pills and chemotherapy. A fourth group was composed of 35 patients who received chemotherapy alone. Finally, 25 patients received Tian Xian Pills prior to surgery. Patients in this test series were given the medicine three times a day. They took the pills thirty minutes to an hour after meals. A total of ten pills were taken each day, and the course of treatment lasted 4 weeks. (The observations made during this period are summarized in Table 4. "The therapeutic effect of Tian Xian treatment on esophageal and stomach cancer," p.53.)
Table 4. The therapeutic effect of Tian Xian treatment on esophageal and stomach cancer
In this set of clinical tests, there occurred a very interesting outcome among the group of patients who were treated with Tian Xian Pills alone. As shown in Table 4, a total of 80.2% of final stage cancer sufferers who were given Tian Xian Pills alone achieved results of "Stabilization" or better. As you may appreciate, the percentage of patients whose conditions improved in this manner reflects the effectiveness of Tian Xian as a cure for cancer. The effects of Tian Xian Pills against stomach and esophageal cancer were very similar and significant. We also observed, through gastroscopic examination, the following changes: the slowdown in the deterioration of the cancerous structures, the expulsion of dead tissue of the stomach, gradual relaxation of the narrow pyloric portion, and relief from bleeding from the residual tumor. The patients also reported relief from the aching sensation peculiar to cancer. The combined use of Tian Xian Pills and irradiation proved to be more effective than the use of irradiation therapy alone (see Table 5, p. 55.) It is surprising to note that the rate of patients who enjoyed outcomes of "Improvement" or better was 100% for the group of patients in the group that underwent Tian Xian Pills combined with irradiation treatment. It was also remarkable that the 98.3% Relief rate of this combined treatment exceeded the 87.7% Relief rate for irradiation treatment alone. The amount of radiation used in radiotherapy varied from 5,00 0 to 6,000 rad. The use of such large amounts of radiation may bring about adverse effects from the breakdown of cellular material and the decrease in the number of white blood cells. This is the cause of side effects. Table 5. Comparison of the combined use of Tian Xian Pills and irradiation versus exclusive use of irradiation treatment
These results raised the question of whether the total amount of radiation used could be decreased if Tian Xian Pills were given together with irradiation. The answer to this question can be found in Tables 6 and 7, where it is obvious that when Tian Xian Pills are used in combination with irradiation, the efficacy of treatment is increased despite a reduction in the amount of radiation administered. Put in another way, the amount of radiation could be reduced in combination with Tian Xian Pills, thus minimizing its influence on the on the human body. This was one of the most remarkable results of the overall clinical tests. Table 6. Therapeutic effects of combined use of Tian Xian Pills and Irradiation therapy compared to effects of irradiation using 4,000 rad
Table 7. Therapeutic effects of Tian Xian Pills compared to effects of irradiation using 6,000 to 7,500 rad
Table 8. Therapeutic effects of combined use of Tian Xian Pills and Irradiation therapy (4,000 rad) compared to effects of irradiation using 6,000 rad
Next we are going to examine the clinical results of chemical treatment. As shown in Table 9, p. 58, the effective rate (stabilization or better) of combined use with chemotherapy is 85.3%, which is 20% higher than the rate achieved by the exclusive use of chemotherapy (65.7%.) It can be noted from the aforementioned results that Tian Xian Pills played a very important role in the combined cure of cancer. Without a doubt, it would bring excellent results when used in combination with irradiation and chemotherapy. Even if final stage cancer patients could not avail of chemo or radiotherapy, and were given Tian Xian Pills alone, the effective rate would still be 80.2%. This is scientific proof that Tian Xian Pills are capable of suppressing cancer. |
