ACCLAIM AT THE WORLD EUREKA INVENTION EXPO

The success of clinical tests brought me another honor. In 1989, I became a member of the Chinese delegation to the thirty-eight World Eureka Invention Expo in Brussels, Belgium. The hall was crowded with delegates from all over the world. There were over 600 inventions; all of them were excellent examples of research and development. I was extraordinarily pleased to be among them.

I packed all my research material, which weighed more than 20 kilograms, into my briefcase, explaining to every examiner the effects of Tian Xian Liquid. However, some of the examiners refused to recognize my invention, declaring that they did not recognize Chinese medicines as research. I persisted in explaining the test results of Tian Xian Liquid in China and the United States. Eventually I showed them the letters of gratitude from patients around the world that had been helped by Tian Xian Liquid to help convince the examiners.

When my name was announced among the award winners, I was a bit doubtful of my ears. Only after witnessing the warm applause and shouts around me was I certain that I had indeed been granted an award. Tian Xian Liquid had won the Best Invention by Individual Research Award. In addition to this I received the Medal of Honor of the Belgian Kingdom, the Medal of General and Medal of Duke. For a Chinese citizen this was an outstanding honor, which had been accomplished by research into Chinese traditional medicine.

In view of the awards, several researchers from different countries asked me to disclose the constituents of my formula and exchange research material with them. They merely wished to investigate the contents of Tian Xian Liquid and examine the facts about Chinese medicines with reference to the principles of western medical science, which they had studied. As a result of the attention given to Tian Xian Liquid, I recognized the responsibility to take further steps in the research and development of a newer, more efficacious anti-cancer agent. It was ironical that, perhaps, the honor of the award brought about the loss of Tian Xian Liquid from my possession.
